Dr. Salil Patkar is a specialist in Medical Oncology.  He has completed his super specialty – DM ( Medical Oncology) from a renowned Gujrat Cancer And Research Institute and civil hospital BJMC Ahmedabad after his Masters in Internal Medicine. He has completed the ‘Postgraduate program’ from The John Hopkins School of Medicine and MESF in 2013 and was awarded the ‘Student of The Year award and a medal by Delcure Lifesciences Ltd. He is associated with us as an empanelled medical oncologist, advisory, and tumor board member

He is renowned for his clinical acumen, in diagnosing and overall management of cancer. He is well-read and versed in various aspects of medical oncology like chemotherapy, molecular targeted therapy, hormonal and immunotherapy

Dr. Salil Patkar has experience in treating patients of all cancer patients including hemat-oncology and Bone marrow transplantation for more than a decade. His sound theoretical familiarity with Radiation and Surgical oncology makes him an important member of a multidisciplinary team for cancer management. He is exclusively trained for Bone marrow transplant from GCRI civil Ahmedabad.  His clinical and academic special interest is on Breast Cancer and gynecological malignancies.

He is a co-investigator in the international Clinical Trial for lymphomas at GCRI. ( PROMISE TRIAL)

He is a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology ( ESMO) and the American Society of clinical oncology ( ASCO).

He is affiliated with Apollo Hospitals as a senior consultant in Medical Oncology and the Director of Oncura Haematology and Oncology Care.

He has numerous national and international publications, poster Presentations in various conferences to his name. to name few are Sweet Syndrome in acute myeloid leukemia, the effect of Gefitinib in patients with advanced adenocarcinoma of the lung, Association of Serum Cholesterol levels with a degree of Sputum Positivity, and Radiological in Pulmonary Tuberculosis, Methotrexate induced Toxic Epidermolysis Necrosis/ Steven Johnson Syndrome In a Child With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Correlation of serum uric acid levels & lipid levels in patients with an ischaemic cerebrovascular accident, Multiple Myeloma an unusual presentation.
