Dr. Vaishali Zamre

Dr. Vaishali Zamre is currently working as a Senior Consultant in the department of Surgical Oncology (Breast Disease Management Group) at Max Super-speciality Hospital, Patparganj, and Vaishali, Delhi NCR. She is associated with us as a Visiting faculty and Tumour Board Member.She pursued her medical education as a graduate and postgraduate in General Surgery from Government Medical College, Nagpur. She has been trained in breast cancer surgeries and oncoplastic reconstructions from the Breast Unit at Llandough Hospital, Cardiff School of Medicine, Cardiff (UK), under the guidance of Professor Robert Mansel. Currently, she is enrolled for  MCh in Breast Oncoplasty from the University of East Anglia, UK, and expects to receive her degree in 2021.

She was associated as a consultant with few of renowned institutes like Max Super-Specialty Hospital, Galaxy Cancer Institute, Pushpanjali Crosslay Hospital – Gaziabad, Dharamshila Cancer Hospital and Research Centre – DELHI. She was a lecturer in Surgery at MGM Medical college and Hospital, Navi Mumbai

With nearly 20 years of surgical experience, of which the last 11 years have been in dedicated oncology facilities, Dr Zamre has acquired proficiency in all oncological surgeries. However, her area of interest and core area of work is breast cancer surgery. She is proficient in all breast cancer surgeries and oncoplastic reconstructions, breast reconstructions, and sentinel lymph node biopsies, among others. She is passionate about research in the field of breast cancer and has published in several international journals. Among few are Indications for post-mastectomy radiation therapy after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. , Practical consensus recommendations for tumor margins and breast conservative surgery, Variation in Pathological Complete Response in HER2 Positive Breast Cancer With Intrinsic Subtypes Assessed by PAM-50 Testing: Secondary Analysis from NSABP B-41 Trial, published in high index journals.

Dr Zamre takes keen interest in spreading awareness about breast cancer and has delivered multiple talks on the same across the country. She is organizer of  Cancer support group events at Max Hospital. She has Participated in and organized TFD (Touch, Feel, Do) workshops for spreading awareness about self-breast examination in women

She is a member of various associations like Associations of Surgeons of India (ASI), Indian Association of Surgical Oncology (IASO), Association of Breast Surgeons of India (ABSI), Breast Imaging Society of India (BISI), Oncology Forum (Delhi & NCR), Breast Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon’s Association (BRASA), Asian Society of Mastology (ASOMA).
